Welcome to The Horse & Groom

The Horse & Groom has been serving the community for many years, in May 2024 it was taken over by new landlords Matt & Mike. We have worked hard over the summer to bring a wonderful restaurant back to the village and make it a beloved local establishment once again. If you haven't tried our food, then why not call in and see what we have waiting for you. 

We are proud to have become a staple in the community and look forward to many more years of serving our customers. We are open for food and drinks most days, check our opening hours before you pop along to see us.

The Horse and Groom is located in the lovely Essex village of Cornish Hall End, just a few miles from the picturesque village of Finchingfield. If you want to escape the Hussle and bustle of a busy life then come and join us. We are dog-friendly with a wonderful array of roaring fires, a well stocked bar with a selection of Lagers, Local ales, Gins and much more. 

Our friendly staff will make you feel right at home with a warm welcome on every visit, they'll help you choose the right drink for the occasion.​ We are also a great place to stop for a hot drink, if that's your thing or why not treat yourself to a glass of wine or Prosecco which have been picked specially to fit our lovely pub. Finally you can relax in our comfortable sofa filled lounge area right by our central fire.
